I’m an experienced tutor and mentor, supporting students since 2020 across GCSE and A-Level subjects. I specialise in GCSE and A-Level Maths, alongside GCSE Sciences and A-Level Physics.

My tutoring style goes beyond simply helping students reach the right answer. I focus on improving their ability to learn independently: how to break down unfamiliar problems, identify gaps in understanding, ask better questions and explain concepts clearly in their own words. These are skills that can continue to benefit them long after a particular exam or topic is finished.

A principle I often use is: “If you can’t teach it, you don’t truly know it.” I encourage students to explain ideas back to me as though they were teaching the topic themselves. This quickly exposes gaps in understanding and helps turn memorised methods into genuine knowledge.

Sessions are tailored to each student’s level and goals, whether they are strengthening foundations, improving exam technique, tackling difficult topics or aiming for higher grades. I also use past-paper questions and structured problem-solving to help students become more confident applying what they know under exam conditions.
