A key part of my approach is encouraging students to explain concepts back to me. I follow the principle: “If you can’t teach it, you don’t truly know it.” This helps me quickly identify weak areas while improving the student’s confidence, reasoning and ability to learn independently.
For GCSE and A-Level Maths, GCSE Sciences and A-Level Physics, I combine concept-building with problem-solving and exam technique. Where appropriate, we use past-paper questions to develop accuracy, speed and confidence under exam conditions.
I adapt the pace and difficulty of each session to the student, whether they are catching up, strengthening fundamentals, preparing for exams or aiming for top grades.
I have been tutoring and mentoring since 2020 and am also a professional Software Engineer with over four years of industry experience, having completed a Bachelor’s degree apprenticeship. I can therefore also provide students with practical guidance on degree apprenticeships, applications, interviews and early career options.
