Hi; I'm Russ, a warm friendly enthusiastic teacher with a reputation for getting results. Adaptable, flexible and empathetic, I understand that everybody is unique and I work with individuals to make sure that my approach and strategies are bespoke to ensure the best experience. I understand that every learner is unique and individual. I strive to ensure that your needs are catered to. For some people this may be contextualised learning and real life scenarios, others may prefer a more regimented routine of theory and exposure to real life exam questions and techniques required to score marks.
I have over 15 years in classroom teaching experience, most of which time I have been Head of Maths at numerous schools.
Although I specialise in GCSE I am flexible and adaptable to other key stages. I can cater to working at all levels within the gcse syllabus. I have had many successes with pupils that have been previously struggling to convert a grade U in to a solid pass but I also have experienced many successes with higher achieving pupils needing the extra push to convert a grade 7 to a grade 8 and beyond.
I have a particular skill however in converting grade 4 to grade 5s. In all situations, I have a wealth of knowledge and experience to ensure that you get results quickly.
