Tabarak Amin

I'm a friendly and experienced tutor with over five years of teaching students of all ages. I am currently a 4th year dental student at university and have achieved strong GCSEs (9s, 8s and 7s), as well as A-levels in Biology, Maths and Chemistry.

I have experience with SEN students and have previously tutored students with dyslexia, autism, ADHD and selective mutism. Each lesson is tailored specifically to the students needs.

I take a structured approach to tutoring, using exam board specifications and past paper questions to build confidence and boost performance. I also enjoy using whiteboard tools and interactive activities to keep lessons engaging and effective.

We start off by spending 5 to 10 minutes analysing the specification to get an understanding of what will be covered in the session.
We then go through content in a whiteboard session like format. I encourage my students to make notes. Following this, we finish off with exam questions. We then spend five minutes summarising what was covered in the next session. I will ask exam questions related to the previous topic.

In my free time, I enjoy cooking, baking, and crocheting. I’m passionate about education and making learning easier.

I come from a low-income background and have only made it as far as I have because I prioritised getting a good education. This has opened up more doors for me and allowed to experience opportunities I would have never imagined. I hope to help other students achieve their full potential when it comes to their education.
