I am an experienced History teacher, Head of Department and examiner, and I love helping students to become more confident and successful in History.
I have taught GCSE, IGCSE and A Level History extensively, and my experience as an examiner means I know exactly what students need to do to turn their knowledge into strong exam answers. I have a proven track record of exam success and take great satisfaction in seeing students achieve grades they may not have thought were possible.
My lessons are friendly, supportive and tailored to the individual student. Some students need help understanding the content, while others know their History but struggle to structure an essay, analyse a source or explain their argument clearly. Others simply need someone to give them confidence and show them how to approach an exam question.
I do not believe in simply teaching students more facts. I want them to understand History, think critically about it and, most importantly, know how to use what they know in an examination.

I offer tuition both online and in person, depending on your location and preference. Online lessons are interactive and personalised, while in-person tuition provides the opportunity for face-to-face support.
