Director of A Levels | Experienced Teacher & Tutor GCSE & A-Level Biology

Hi, I’m Catherine! I’m an experienced Biology teacher with over 10 years working in education and currently lead one of the largest A-Level provisions in London, supporting around 1,800 students across multiple sixth-form campuses.

Alongside my role as Director of A Levels, I continue to teach A-Level Biology because I genuinely love the subject and working directly with students.

I offer friendly, supportive and personalised GCSE and A-Level Biology tuition, whether a student is struggling with a particular topic, lacking confidence, preparing for exams or aiming for the very highest grades.

My approach is about more than simply knowing the content. I help students understand how to apply their knowledge, interpret unfamiliar information and tackle exam questions effectively – often the difference between knowing Biology and achieving a great Biology grade.

Having worked with students of a huge range of abilities, I know that every learner is different. Sessions are therefore tailored to the individual, with a focus on building confidence, identifying gaps and making challenging Biology feel much more manageable.

Whether the goal is securing a pass, moving up several grades, achieving a Grade 8/9 at GCSE or an A/A* at A Level, I’ll work with each student to help them reach their potential – with plenty of encouragement along the way!
