Volunteering at the British Heart Foundation, I honed my teamwork and organizational skills, which are crucial for effective tutoring. My experience in nonprofit volunteering has equipped me with the ability to connect with diverse individuals and support their learning journeys. As a first-year BSc Cybersecurity student at the University of Lancashire, I am eager to apply my analytical skills and dedication to helping students achieve their academic goals. Although I am new to formal teaching, my enthusiasm for learning and connecting with others will enable me to make a positive impact on students' English language studies. Ive always “tutored” the kids in my family and have been told to actually do this on a professional level which i laughed at, however here i am applying and to me i think a good teacher is the one who listens to their students and understands how they like to learn as each individual is different so my way of teaching will definitely be adjusted to the way the student prefers but in general im the biggest believer in practicing so homework is definitely the way to go.
