Advert description
My name is Anneliese and I am a PhD (doctoral) researcher in Biological Sciences. I love the outdoors and all things science! In my free-time, I am usually adventuring, surfing or reading.
I love to learn and I enjoy helping others learn too. Coming to grips with new concepts, techniques and subjects can sometimes be really hard and I endeavour to do everything I can to help you learn in a fun and engaging way. I love to help students develop their passions and to help them on their path of reaching their goals!
I have a first-class honours Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science, a distinction Master of Research degree in Marine Biology and I am in my final year of my PhD in Biological Sciences.
It's important to understand how YOU learn, as not everyone learns the same. We can work on finding this out together if you're unsure, but my lessons will be designed specifically to your needs with a focus on what works best for you.
To begin, we will assess where you are currently at in relation to your subject and topics. We will establish your strengths in them and then focus more closely on aspects that need a little bit more work. We will discuss if there are any particular aspects that you are worried about or feel that you need to develop further. We will then work through these sections/topics together. We won't rush through anything, as it's important that we lay the ground well for you to then come to grips with the more advanced concepts. The last thing we want is confusion, so we will work together, at whatever speed is required to ensure we are both happy that the relevant task/subject/concept/topic is understood.
Sessions will be engaging and interactive, with a range of materials and learning methods!
