Advert description
Every student has different needs. I, therefore, like to initially discuss with my students what their strengths and weaknesses are. This allows me to create lesson plans where the students are involved in their own learning.
The best way to improve your abilities in mathematics is through regular repetition, although in my lessons this won't happen without some guidance. I often find it most effective to recap or teach theory the student is required to know, then I usually follow this up with appropriate examples. Gradually I would encourage the student to attempt these questions on their own, whilst also making them more difficult. This allows the students to further develop their understanding of the subject by expanding their mathematical toolkits.
Homework can be provided upon request. This does not work for every student but it can help to promote the students' learning further. I have also helped with exam preparation, in which case there will be more of an emphasis on time management skills.
Ultimately, the details of how I teach will depend on the students I have, and this is something we can both work on together as our lessons evolve. :-)
