Teaching Assistant teaches KS1 and KS2 maths to students aged 5-11

My name is Lauren and I am a dedicated 22-year-old teaching assistant at Highgate Junior School. After initially starting as a support assistant at the school, I explored different career paths, spending two years in the hospitality industry before rediscovering my passion for working in a school environment. Now, as a Teaching Assistant, I work closely with Y5 and 6 students although my tutoring students have ranged from ages 6-12.

I started privately tutoring Maths in KS1 and KS2 and continued for three and a half years. I create a supportive and nurturing learning environment where students feel valued and encouraged to thrive. I am able to connect with students on a personal level that enables effective collaboration and learning.

With my guidance and support, students not only grasp challenging concepts but also develop the confidence and skills needed to excel academically.
