Advert description
Hello, I'm a Master's student in Gender Studies & future PhD Sociology candidate at the University of Sussex, offering flexible and friendly tutoring to your needs. With nearly seven years of dedicated study - from GCSE and A-Level through to my undergraduate degree and now a Master's and PhD - I've developed a deep, well-rounded understanding and interest of the subject and how it's taught across various exam boards.
Though I'm new to private tutoring, I bring a relatable and structured approach to every session. My goal is to create a welcoming space where you feel comfortable asking questions, exploring new ideas, and even making mistakes. I break down complex theories using real-world examples, pop culture, and current events to make abstract concepts engaging and easier to grasp.
Each session includes a warm-up to refresh prior knowledge, followed by focused work on key topics like sociological theory, research methods, and exam technique. I also offer past paper practice and mini-assessments to build your confident and exam skills.
Being close in age to many of my students helps me connect with them and bridge the gap between academic expectations and everyday relevance. Whether you're struggling with sociological perspectives or just want to boost your confidence, I'm here to support you in developing both knowledge and critical thinking.
Let's make sociology something you enjoy and feel proud mastering.
