GCSE maths tutor providing online lessons for secondary school students

Advert description
I am year 12 student who is currently studying A level maths, biology and chemistry. I have recently completed GCSEs achieving grade 9s in eight of my subjects, maths being one of my top marks that I achieved. I will deliver online lessons tailored to the student and address queries they may have upon a particular topic within their maths GCSE. I will take them through the different types of questions that may be asked within the exam and guide them with different resources, revision websites and past paper questions. My approach to my own GCSEs meant that I was able to achieve the top grades and top marks, and during my tutoring sessions I will help the student to succeed further and up their grade. I will be offering session to all levels of ability and adjust the sessions as required. As well as this, if a student requires additional helps outside lessons then I will be sure to give them my contact details so that I can help with any queries they may have.
Phoebe in a nutshell
The typical structure for the tutoring sessions will start off with a review of what was previously taught in the last session and consolidate the work on that. I will ask the student if they have any other queries regarding this specific topic and provide further resources to complete extra work outside of the sessions. The typical structure for the tutoring sessions will start off with a review of what was previously taught in the last session and consolidate the work on that. I will ask the student if they have any other queries regarding this specific topic and provide further resources to complete extra work outside of the sessions. I will ask the student to give me a list of the topics or sections of the maths GCSE that they do not understand and parts that requires more consolidating and then organise the lessons accordingly. I will the introduce the next topic and get a greater understand on what the student struggles with in this particular area and then work through methods on how to solve these types of questions as well as look at the typical questions that may be asked of them. If this is a student that is aiming for a top grade, I will guide them with resources that offer questions targeted at the top grades, such as those found towards the end of the question paper. After getting a greater understanding of the specific topic I will provide the student with further practice questions, by walking them through these and then allowing them to be independent in solving the problems themselves. I will provide assistance when required during these questions and then will set further practice questions to complete before the next session so that the student is continually recapping previous topics as well as consolidating what has just been taught. I find that this method worked best for myself when studying for my maths GCSE since it enabled me to become familiar with the types of questions that may be asked in the exam. This structure allows for a well rounded and effective learning experience that will help the student boost their grades for the upcoming exams.
