Advert description
My biology lessons are relaxed, supportive, and focused on helping actually understand the subject, not just memorise it. Whether you’re finding biology tricky or aiming for top grades, lessons are shaped around what you need and how you learn best.
Each lesson usually has a clear but flexible structure. We’ll start by looking at what you’re working on at school and where things feel confusing. I’ll explain topics step by step, using plain language first and then building up to the level you need for exams. I use diagrams, examples, and real-life biology to make things easier to follow and more interesting.
Lessons are very interactive and discussion-based - you’ll be encouraged to ask questions at any point! We’ll regularly check understanding with quick questions, short quizzes, or exam-style problems, but there’s no pressure or judgement. If something isn’t clicking, we’ll try a different approach until it does.
I have a strong background in biology, including genetics, microbiology and molecular biology, and I work in environmental and biological science. That means I can link what you’re learning to how biology is actually used in the real world, which many students find helps things make more sense.
For parents, I aim to keep communication clear and straightforward. I’m always happy to share updates on progress, areas to focus on, and how best to support learning between sessions, so you can feel confident your child is being well supported.
