Vicky Chan

My lessons are structured, interactive and tailored to each student’s individual needs and current level. I am an experienced Postgraduate Teaching Assistant and have supported undergraduate students through workshops, small-group teaching and one-to-one academic support. I have also mentored students and supervised students in a research environment.

I begin each lesson by identifying areas of difficulty and then work through the relevant topics step by step, using clear explanations, diagrams and examples to build a strong understanding of Biology.

A key focus of my lessons is exam preparation. We work through exam-style questions and past papers to develop exam technique, understand how to apply biological knowledge, and become familiar with mark-scheme terminology. I also help students identify how to structure answers and maximise the marks they can achieve.
