Advert description
I am a passionate and dedicated tutor currently completing Year 13 at one of UK's top independent school, with predicted A Level grades:
A* in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
I aspire to study Aeronautical Engineering at Imperial College London, and I enjoy sharing my enthusiasm for STEM subjects with younger students.
I have experience tutoring GCSE students and supporting Key Stage 2 pupils with SATs and school entrance examinations. In addition, as a Sergeant in the RAF Air Cadets, I delivered lessons to groups of over 10 cadets, developing my ability to explain concepts clearly, structure lessons and adapt my teaching to different learners.
Academically, I achieved nine A*/Grade 8–9 equivalents in my GCSEs and iGCSEs, including Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Computer Science.
I have also been invited to compete in the British Physics Olympiad (and was in the top 12% out of 9400 applicants), and was awarded in Chemistry Olympiads and Mathematics Challenges, reflecting my strong subject knowledge and problem-solving skills.
My aim as a tutor is to help students develop a genuine understanding of their subjects, rather than simply memorising methods. I can support students with consolidating classroom learning, tackling challenging questions, preparing for examinations and building confidence in their abilities. I believe that patience, clear explanations and structured practice are key to making progress.
I would be delighted to help students strengthen their foundations, improve their exam technique and achieve their academic goals.
