History Tutor providing lessons to children of all ages

I am currently a student of the University of Nottingham taking history after receiving an A in my History A-Level in 2023.

I have volunteered at two primary schools. In one I set up and coached a netball team and I volunteered in another primary school during their class lessons helping the year 5 students with their English, History and Maths skills. I also supported a struggling student in KS3 History lessons, providing her with general support and alternative explanations to the teachers work when she struggled to understand.

In order to develop further analytical skills, I secured a work experience placement with Plexus Law in Manchester. During the week I spent there, I was exposed to current and closed personal injury cases. This allowed me to make connections between causes, consequences and then place significance on each piece of evidence. This placement enhanced my researching and analytical skills which has then enabled me to improve my essay writing in history. It also developed my time management skills, allowing me to have an insight into working in a busier environment.
