I like to spend time diagnosing the problems the student have with learning and adapt my style of teaching in order to help them understands the difficult topics. This can be interactive by giving questions during the process to help them gain an insight of how questions would be asked during exams. I would give plenty of examples such as maths problems similar to the questions they struggle with to aid them.
