Advert description
◈ LLB Law; Doctorate in Law; Qualified Teacher Status; Fellow of the Higher Education Academy ◈
Since 2017 I have taught thousands of students, from KS3 to postgraduate, at various institutions. This extensive experience in schools, colleges, and universities means that I teach with close attention to the requirements of exams and coursework, including the specifications set by OCR, AQA, Edexcel, and WJEC Eduqas.
My subject expertise lies in Law, Sociology, and Criminology. My previous teaching experience in Social Sciences also includes Government and Politics and Psychology, at both GCSE and A-level. I teach with great care and patience, and employ a host of materials and example-based teaching to help you master both the substance and the higher-order skills of a Social Sciences student.
As my tutee, your lessons will be tailored to your unique situation and academic goals. After diagnosing your strengths and areas to work on, a typical lesson will begin with recall of key knowledge and skills practice. We will then cover any content in detail, moving on when you have secured your understanding, and have ample time for questions and answers. Finally, we can explore any relevant exam paper or writing practice where appropriate.
I can also provide ad hoc lessons to help you improve any coursework. I do not provide an essay-writing service, but I am able to provide personal feedback and suggestions on your own written work. Not only will this improve your current assignment, but it teaches you skills that you can employ in future.
Lessons will typically last one hour, although I am very happy to provide shorter or longer lessons to suit your schedule.
By teaching a subject that I love, I very much look forward to working with you towards your academic goals and aspirations!
