First and foremost, I am a very patient person, and individuals can take all the time they need to explain how they need help. Listening is key to make a decent and realistic plan of action.
My skills working with different people are vast, as I love interacting with people face to face (and via video calls), as you get to meet the real person as opposed to how someone comes across in written form.
I have noticed how erratic people can act when in uncomfortable situations that are new to them, or if they are neurodivergent and do not feel happy being in another’s physical presence, so I would be very adaptable to whatever the student needs.
Trust is very important, and keeping to a professional yet approachable level at all times. I feel that my personality allows me very much to do this, and be a chameleon in many different situations.
Depending how the student would want to interact, is how much I would interact, it is all about the students needs and how they want to work.
