I am a biology tutor, tutor in anything from primary to GCSE biology

Hello! I’m a University of Liverpool graduate with a degree in Orthoptics, and I currently work as a qualified Orthoptist in clinical practice. Alongside my healthcare career, I’m passionate about education and enjoy helping students reach their full potential in science. I have mentored medical students, foundation year ophthalmologists, and student orthoptists, developing strong skills in explaining complex topics clearly and patiently.

Before studying Orthoptics, I completed a Foundation Year in Science at the University of East Anglia, achieving 72% overall and gaining a strong grounding in biology, chemistry, and environmental science.

As a tutor, I specialise in GCSE and primary-level biology, focusing on building confidence, improving understanding, and making science engaging and accessible. I tailor each lesson to the student’s learning style and pace, ensuring they not only prepare effectively for exams but also develop a lasting interest in the subject.
