Interactive Maths and Science Tutoring for Key Stages 1-4 with a Cognitive Neuroscience Student

Advert description
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology (Hons.) and am currently pursuing an MSc in Cognitive Neuroscience. My academic background has given me a strong foundation in Psychology, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and other science-related subjects, and I genuinely enjoy sharing what I have learned with others. I have always loved teaching and helping people understand concepts that may initially seem difficult or confusing. As a tutor, my goal is not simply to help you memorise information, but to help you understand the ideas behind it and feel confident applying what you have learned. I believe that every student learns differently, so I try to adapt my teaching style according to your individual needs, level of understanding, and learning preferences. I can offer tuition in Psychology, Science, and Mathematics, and I am particularly comfortable teaching Psychology-related subjects such as Cognitive Psychology, Biological Psychology, Research Methods, Statistics, and introductory Neuroscience. I can also help with understanding difficult concepts, preparing for examinations, revising course material, completing practice questions, and developing effective study strategies. My approach to teaching is interactive, creative, and student-centred. Rather than relying entirely on textbook explanations, I like to use real-life examples, visual explanations, discussions, analogies, practice questions, and simple step-by-step explanations to make concepts easier to understand. For subjects that involve complex processes or theories, I try to break them down into smaller, manageable parts and gradually build your understanding. I also believe that asking questions is an important part of learning. There is no such thing as a “silly” question, and I want my students to feel comfortable asking for clarification whenever they need it. I will encourage you to actively participate during lessons, think critically about the material, and develop the confidence to solve problems independently. As a current MSc Cognitive Neuroscience student, I am continuously learning and developing my own academic knowledge. This allows me to bring a fresh and enthusiastic perspective to teaching, particularly when explaining Psychology, neuroscience, and science-related concepts. My background in research has also helped me develop skills in critical thinking, statistics, research m
