A teacher not just to build skills, but with a love of learning to help from homework to the corporate world

I have experience through my corporate education in managing more neurodiverse ways of learning and studying - particularly ADHD and those with ASD. I try to adapt my teaching style to their learning style to help them achieve the successes they are capable of and wish to gain.

A student myself working towards my masters and a corporate trainer of seven years I try to use an empowering style of education, to help anyone and everyone I teach get the spark and excitement when they realise they have got something they have struggled with. I enjoy using examples to explain so people not just think they know something but fully get it and understand it. This style of education I found from a young age works well with all age groups. It started when I was helping children who came into the newsagents my parents owned, who had few people to inspire them but desperately wanted to be better. I then used this in my high schools years when I volunteered with other students a year or two below me, and discovered that joy of helping and inspiring. I was honoured by the school, during my A-Levels, by being allowed to become a student mentor/councillor for other students, as well as acting in the capacity of a teaching assistant

Working in finance with a background in psychology and studying education I have a myriad wealth of knowledge and love to share it, always knowing that learning is the foremost goal and greatest achievement. Maths and finance is my specialisms, with Science, History and English from the studying I still enjoy.

As I am a student as well as a tutor I think I have a lot of empathy with the stress and pressure all students undergo, allowing me to be able to connect on a strong level and be able to be someone to not just teach but support through this stage in life. My corporate training background has given me a view of what employers need and want from their employees, and how to show the skills needed in a way that gets recognised.
