I am a passionate teacher of Classics and have taught at secondary level at both girls’ and boys’ schools for over twenty years with proven success at GCSE, A Level and University entrance. My students have gained places at prestigious Universities, including Oxford, Cambridge and Stanford. I am incredibly proud of all my students regardless of their journey and destination. I am a graduate of King’s College London, where I gained a first class degree in Classical, Medieval and Modern Greek and a PGCE in Classics. I love learning and have gained A Levels in Modern Greek, Classical Greek, French, Latin, Art and Sanskrit.

My teaching style is fully interactive and I help you make progress through clear explanations, modelling, practice opportunities and constructive feedback. I am flexible and can complement any textbook with supporting materials and adapt them to your individual level and needs. I have extensive experience using Taylor’s textbooks to consolidate the teaching of language and routinely create extensive practice and assessment resources to support the teaching of literature.

I have served as Setter and Principal Examiner with OCR for ten years and developed a thorough knowledge of the OCR public examination specifications. I have expertise teaching all examinable units and set text options in Greek and Latin, but my primary loves are Greek language, epic, philosophy and tragedy.
