I am a native speaker of English and have taught English for 4+ years. I help students sound more like native speakers!

I have a degree from the University of Michigan in Anthropology and Linguistics and have been awarded a TESOL certificate. I have hundreds of hours of experience tutoring university students in academic English as well as hundreds of hours of teaching experience to college students, children, business professionals, and English learners of any level. My unique approach to language learning emphasizes real-world exercises and conversations that help students learn useful vocabulary, grammar, and phrases to help them advance their English levels quickly. In my classes, students are often amazed that they are learning English by simply talking about their passions, hobbies, or day-to-day lives rather than trying to decode complex grammar exercises. I also have experience with English tests such as IELTS, TOEFL, and Duolingo, which may be needed for college admission or job opportunities in the United States.
