I have been an ESL tutor for three years and I also hold a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature.I have taught learners at every level from beginners to advanced. All of my students have had their own unique learning style, objectives, and requirements. I use these factors to design my lesson plans to meet the individual needs of each student. In addition to teaching students how to communicate effectively in English through conversations, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, listening skills, reading skills and writing skills, I also work on developing the student's overall ability to speak confidently. My teaching methods include providing clear instruction and guidance during practice sessions and incorporating authentic-world experiences into the classroom so that my students can apply what they learn in real-life situations. One aspect of being an ESL instructor that I find especially rewarding is assisting students who are able to comprehend English but are hesitant to actually speak it. To provide a safe learning space for all of my students, I foster a non-threatening atmosphere where students can practice without fear of being criticized or judged. Regardless of why students want to learn English whether it is for daily use, school, work, travel or self-improvement, I will develop a curriculum based upon their specific goals through regular feedback and consistent support.
