I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Education, a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (Lifelong Learning – Adult Specialisation), a Diploma in Teaching Disabled Learners, and a TEFL certificate. With over 30 years of teaching experience and having worked with thousands of students, I bring both professional expertise and genuine care to every lesson.

I specialise in teaching adults and understand the unique challenges and goals that come with learning later in life. One of the most meaningful highlights of my career was teaching English to incarcerated adults in the UK — an experience that strengthened my patience, adaptability, and ability to support learners from all backgrounds.

Helping people grow in confidence through language has always been my passion. I take time to get to know each student so that I can design lessons that are fully personalised — tailored not only to your level, but also to your goals, interests, and preferred learning style.

My lessons are structured yet relaxed. I often use engaging, real-world topics such as workplace trends, lifestyle issues, and short TED-style talks to encourage natural discussion and build practical vocabulary. You will have plenty of opportunity to speak, practise new expressions, and develop fluency. I gently identify and explain mistakes so that you gain the tools to self-correct and become more independent.

I am known for being patient, calm, and supportive, and I create a friendly learning environment where students feel comfortable taking risks and asking questions. When learners feel understood and encouraged, their progress accelerates naturally.
