I am a native English speaker, with a CELTA certificate, and two years of English teaching experience

I have a degree in Japanese and also learned Chinese, so I know just how hard it is to learn a new language. Furthermore I have a CELTA certificate, and two years of experience teaching spoken and written English to adult and young learners.
I have also spent many years working as an editor so can provide constructive and feedback on written essays, CVs and other text.
I prefer to get to know my students, what they want and what they respond to and design my lessons with these three things in mind. This creates a sense of fun, where students can express themselves and be creative using the things they know best. Most of all, I believe that the best learning comes from the student, so I try to reduce the amount of teacher talking time, and give my students more of a chance to shine.
