Expert Science & Maths Tuition from an Experienced Examiner and Former University Lecturer

I have been a full-time tutor for over 13 years with a strong academic and teaching background, but what really matters to me is making science approachable and enjoyable. I have represented independent tutors at a national level, having been elected as a Vice-President of The Tutors’ Association, where I held a position as a non-executive director.

I holds a PhD in Analytical Biochemistry from Imperial College London and have spent many years leading internationally recognised cutting edge research and applying this to my teaching in my previous position as a tenured Lecturer in Pharmacy at the University of Nottingham. I am an Editorial Board member for several international, reputable scientific journals and have an impressive record of research publications, owing to nearly 20 years as a research-active scientist.

I am a current, experienced GCSE and A-level examiner, which means I understand exactly what exam boards are looking for. I also sat on the examination board for the award of the MPharm degree for nearly a decade.

I cover all three sciences and maths at GCSE, biology and chemistry at A’ level and selected topics in biology, biochemistry, chemistry and pharmacy at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. I enjoy working with a wide range of students, from those who need extra support due to special educational needs (SEN) to those aiming for top grades. My lessons are always tailored to the individual, with a focus on building confidence as well as knowledge.
