I teach KS5 students, and based in NW London providing online and in-person lessons. I attended art college and have a degree in 3D Industrial Design and am a qualified Art and DT teacher. I believe art should be enjoyable at every level and encourage students to be free to express their ideas in a variety of ways and not be afraid to take risks. You will learn to communicate ideas through drawing and develop your observational skills and study the works of artists and draw inspiration from their work.
Having studied Art and Design at A Level and attended Art college, I have extensive experience in both freehand and technical drawing and design. I am skilled in using a wide range of 2D mixed media to draw and produce artwork, printing techniques and sculptural work using materials and clay. In my own time, I am a member of a regular sketch club, and I am currently producing my own ceramic pieces and sculptures to hone my interests and for my own well-being and therefore if you want to draw and produce art which is engaging and fun, I am more than happy to oblige. I can teach basic drawing and tonal work to students with very little knowledge to more advanced drawing if you want to improve your skills for coursework. I am familiar with the KS5 Curriculum and have moderated and marked exam work as I have been a Head of DT for many years and more recently Head of Art and therefore can gauge the quality of outcomes required for different levels.
