My name is Dr Clair Le Couteur. I'm an educator, artist and scholar with an English Literature degree and a PhD from the Royal College of Art. I have over twenty years' experience helping people with their writing and critical thinking. I teach at all levels from primary school to postgraduate / PhD students. I'm also a qualified TEFL teacher... and a singer. I specialise in working with creative people who find writing hard, and with people from around the world who need help with their English.

I love personal, one-to-one teaching online. Everything we do together will be guided by who you are, what you need, and how I can help you love studying and writing as much as I do. Wherever you're from, whether English is your mother tongue or not, I can help you develop your voice, feel confident expressing yourself in writing, and start finding the hidden meanings and connections in texts.

My rates are flexible depending on your circumstances. If you're having money troubles, get in touch anyway — I try to keep some space free every week for low cost sessions.
