I am an undergraduate student at the University of Warwick, passionate about mentorship and learning.

I have experience teaching as a private tutor as well as a karate instructor and drums teacher. Having taught Maths, English, Science and Verbal and Non-Verbal reasoning, my approach to lessons focuses on engaging with the pupil - checking that they understand the question fully, are able to answer it correctly on their own, and can explain back to me how they have found the correct answer. Last summer I had the opportunity to teach Maths, English and Science to children aged 4-16 in Nepal. I found this incredibly rewarding, and it helped to shape my interactive approach to teaching. Rather than letting the pupil work in silence or follow my instructions, I find that children become much more interested and enthusiastic when given the opportunity to discuss the method of solving a problem before applying it on their own to solidify their understanding.
