English tutor for students aged 11 - adult hood

Tutor with an array of teaching and training experience offering support with English literature, English language or for degree subjects such as media, drama and journalism.

I've worked professionally as a journalist for over twenty years with my written work having been nominated for industry awards such as British Journalism Awards, Royal Television Society awards as well as at the BAFTAs.

I also have experience delivering journalism and writing training to students aged 16+ with the national film and television school of Scotland and in 2022 compiled and delivered London Southbank Uni's Investigative Journalism Module.

I have also provided learning support to children between 11-16 to supplement their in school learning and understand the need to adjust teaching styles to align with how students process information, having grown up with additional learning needs, which were not fully catered for in the school environment.
