Tutor helping students develop confident approaches to studying STEM subjects

I have a background in cognitive science and neuroimaging with several years of experience tutoring maths and sciences, ranging from secondary school to MSc/PhD students.

My tutoring experience primarily centres on academic empowerment that does not simply tackle the material and subjects in front of the student, but the underlying way they use the resources available to them to create transferable practices based on how they relate to information.

As well as improved marks, signs of success from my previous tuition services have been shown when students developed autonomy, agency, and engagement in how they approach upcoming assignments, where they felt comfortable leading the discussion and voicing their needs and goals.
