Advert description
I am a friendly, patient and hardworking person with a strong interest in Science and a genuine desire to help others learn. I am currently studying Applied Science at sixth form and have a particular interest in Biology, Chemistry and Physics, as well as a future career in healthcare.
One of my strongest qualities is my ability to explain things clearly and patiently. Through my experience supporting SEND students, volunteering in school, helping younger pupils and running after-school activities, I have learned how important it is to adapt the way I communicate depending on the individual learner. I am approachable and understanding, and I want students to feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes while they learn.
I also have practical science experience, including titration and microscopy, and I have received a Silver Science Award for my microscopy work. I am organised, responsible and willing to put time into helping students understand topics rather than simply memorising answers.
I believe I would be well suited to this role because I can combine my enthusiasm for Science with my patience, communication skills and experience supporting other students. I would aim to make lessons engaging, supportive and tailored to each student's needs while helping them become more confident in their abilities.
