Hello my name is Makenna Klanot and I have recently completed my Master's degree in Education Policy and Society at King's College of London. I also have a an additional Mater's degree in Teaching and Learning and a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and Special Education. I was an elementary school teacher for four years in the United States in which I had a lot of success including Teacher of the Year and my class had the highest pass rate in the whole school on the standardised state test. I am currently an English Language and Literature teacher for KS3 and GCSE at a tuition centre. I am able to teach KS1 and KS2 in English and Maths and KS3 and GCSE in English Language and Literature. My lessons are student focused in which I let the students lead. Rather than just giving the answer to a question, I walk my students through the question with probes that will allow them to reach the question on their own. I also like to do the I do, we do, you do approach which allows students to have a release of responsibility whilst knowing exactly how to answer a question. I am very patient and can work with a range of ages and ability levels.
