Experienced A-Level Sociology tutor, aiming to build confidence!

In my lessons, I use a tailored, student-led approach. I know that everyone works differently and processes information in different ways. I will adopt my teaching method to each students unique learning style, whether its a million exam questions, creating revision resources or just chatting through the content.

I will constantly review the exam board specification with my students, colour-coding topics based on current confidence levels. This helps me to form a clear understanding of areas that need the most support and what we need to prioritise.

I believe that targeted exam practice is the most effective tool for success in sociology, and there will be a lot of focus on this. I have a strong exam structure that, when used, allows you to hit all the key requirements of the mark schemes, and we will practice this together.
Sociology is also a great subject, as we can discuss real-world applications and consider concepts in modern-day life, such as the impact of social media and AI, or whatever the student feels is a good topic for them to discuss!

High exam results are the target, but building confidence is the aim too! Students have to believe in their own ability to succeed, and I will always push this and encourage students. I provide a supportive and stress-free space to learn, building confidence and encouraging healthy studying is key to me.
