As a student who sat my maths GCSE last year, I am very aware of the pressure and struggle to achieve a high grade. Studying Maths Alevel has honed and expanded my problem solving skills. I sometimes try difficult GCSE problems now with a new insight and lens which I would like to offer to students by going through past paper questions together and understanding their weaknesses. From this, I can target specific sub-topics or skills that need to be refined. I will offer minimal but efficient homework to practise skills. Most importantly, I want to create an interest which extends beyond a chore.
