Advert description
I am a retired University Professor who loves teaching and helping students understand and enjoy science. I have more than 40 years of experience teaching Chemistry to undergraduate students, as well as supervising and mentoring students at different levels. I have the ability to make difficult subjects, such as Chemistry, easier to understand and more interesting by connecting concepts to practical examples and encouraging students to ask questions.
My teaching experience covers a broad range of Chemistry, including basic concepts such as atoms and molecules, the periodic table, chemical bonding, stoichiometry and equilibrium, as well as more advanced areas such as thermodynamics, kinetics and materials science. I have also developed teaching materials and organised workshops to help other university academics improve their teaching of Chemistry.
I am bilingual in Spanish and English, and I enjoy adapting my teaching approach to the individual needs and level of each student. My goal is not only to help students improve their academic performance, but also to give them the confidence and critical-thinking tools.
