LAMDA is an acclaimed, world-leading drama school and examinations provider, training and inspiring exceptional artists, open to all ages. I teach, coach and prepare learners for a wide variety of exams. From Shakespeare, to Musical Theatre to Public Speaking - there is an exam just for you! LAMDA develops your communication skills, self-assurance and enables you to articulate your thoughts and ideas more coherently and confidently. Other benefits include reading fluency, a broader vocabulary, improved English language skills and the ability to structure an argument. Once you have passed your LAMDA Exam, you will earn a qualification that is recognised worldwide and that you can add to your CV, school entrance portfolio, or university application. You can even earn UCAS points to help with university entry.
In our first lesson, I will conduct a thorough assessment tailored to your/ your child’s exam board, current grades, and interests. This enables me to design a personalised scheme of work for each unit or subject, which I share with you and/or your parent or guardian. I also create customised grade trackers so progress can be continuously monitored and celebrated.
My practice often involves a range of physical theatre games and activities that will help to warm up your mind, body and voice, before we start rehearsing your desired role. I use a range of methods, from method acting to naturalism and Brecht to Stanislavski. LAMDA exams are designed to develop your life skills, such as clear communication, self-confidence and teamwork, through the creative platforms of drama, literature and music.
