Advert description
I'm currently completing an MSc in Child and Adolescent Psychology at the University of Greenwich, building on 1.5 years of experience as an academic mentor at an SEN-focused learning centre in India. In that role, I delivered individualised academic sessions, contributed to Individual Education Plans (IEPs), and supported children through behaviour management and emotional/sensory regulation — alongside subject teaching.
I teach maths for students from primary age through to Year 8 (Key Stage 1–3), adapting my approach to how each child learns best rather than relying on a single method. I have particular experience supporting neurodiverse learners and children with learning disabilities, using structured, alternative techniques where mainstream approaches haven't worked. Lessons are one-to-one, typically 45–60 minutes, and focus on building genuine understanding and confidence — not just getting through a syllabus.
