Advert description
My lessons are highly tailored, and I equip you with the skills to think critically and formulate independent thinking - not just memorising annotations from a PowerPoint. My lessons often include close reading, conversational learning, self-evaluation and essay practice.
I am an Oxford English graduate with three years of experience tutoring English language and literature 1-1 for all levels and abilities online and in-person. I have taught as a literature tutor during an Oxford summer schools programme (July-August 2026), delivering Oxbridge application workshops, 1-1 tutorials and literature classes.
I welcome all abilities and age groups as students.
While I have experience teaching GCSE and A-level students according to AQA, Edexcel, and Cambridge IGCSE, I am comfortable learning and teaching any exam boards or texts. I am a particular fan of Shakespeare.
I also offer University application support for humanities subjects such as English, International Relations, Politics, History and Law.
Other experience:
I possess a 120+ hour TEFL qualification, and I am happy to support students for whom English is a second language.
This summer, I completed my thesis in International Relations at King's College London. My research focused on areas such as the impact of literature on British soft power and strategic narratives used by political actors in evolving media environments and changing political alliances.
