My approach to teaching is learner-centred, supportive and adaptable. I would first take time to understand each learner’s existing knowledge, goals, confidence and preferred way of learning, before planning lessons around their individual needs. I would break topics into clear, manageable steps and use practical examples, discussion, questioning and activities to keep learners engaged. For English and ESOL, I would develop speaking, listening, reading and writing skills through relevant, real-world tasks. I would create a respectful environment where learners feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. I would regularly check understanding, provide constructive feedback and adjust my approach where necessary. My aim is not only to help learners achieve their qualifications, but also to build confidence, independence and a positive attitude towards learning.
