Native English speaker offering private English lessons online for adults and children

I am an English tutor and I am currently studying English Literature, History, Politics and German at A-level. I have achieved grade 9s in both English Literature and English Language at GCSE level in 2025. As for my experience as a teacher, I have been working as an assistant teacher at a Saturday school, where I work with young children.

As a tutor, I will try my best to ensure that my students get the most out of their lessons with me and I am always open to your suggestions as to what you would like to do in the lesson or in future lessons.

If you would like to have lessons with me as someone studying English as a foreign language, I will help you improve your reading, writing and speaking skills steadily over time, so you can feel more confident with the language. We can discuss different books, poems, go through some grammar rules, or practise speaking during our lessons.

If a young student would like to increase their confidence in their English skills for school, I would be happy to help them with school work, as well as discuss pieces of further reading, to take their skills above and beyond the curriculum if possible.

For 11+ students, I would be happy to go through some practice questions and help them to hone skills necessary to tackle their 11+ exams, so they are more confident. For instance, I can help them with creative writing skills, as many 11+ exams do have a creative writing section.

As for GCSE students, I would be happy to help where I can with your studies. I personally studied Lord of the Flies, Jane Eyre, Romeo and Juliet and the Love and Relationships anthology for my GCSE exams. However, this does not mean I am restricted to these materials and I can help with your English Language exam preparation as well.

As an English tutor, I will support my students so they can be more confident in their analytical and writing skills by guiding them to formulate their own opinions and analyses instead of learning passively by memorising interpretations.

For those learning English as a foreign language, I will try to give a well-rounded experience of the language by exploring different parts of it through our lessons. I will also always be open to suggestions about what to do in our lessons and can adjust my lesson plans accordingly, if given advanced notice, as I will aim to have structured lessons.
