I take a supportive & encouraging yet aspirational approach to tutoring. I will use recent news articles, Q&As, practice speeches & speaking exercises to ensure students get the extra practice needed to enhance their speaking skills. English speaking is often a matter of confidence, lessons would be a safe space to improve confidence & fluency. Lessons can be between 30 mins to an hour depending on your needs. I can tailor my lessons depending on what you wish to improve! MY EXPERIENCE: • English tutor to refugee children in Lebanon via the Alsama Project helping them gain confidence in their reading & conversation skills Debating & Public Speaking mentoring at school helping students aged 11-16 weekly. • 7 years experience in regional & national debating/public speaking competitions • National Finalist in the English-Speaking-Union Mace Debate competition • Extensive public speaking experience to audiences of 700+ as Head Girl (including to prospective parents & governors) • LAMDA Grade 8 Distinction in Performance & RADA Gold Award • Acted in numerous stage productions for 5 years I understand the challenges of public speaking, as well as tips & tricks to overcome them! I have 7 years of experience in public speaking competitions including at a national level, achieved Grade 9 in English at GCSE level, 3 As in my all-essay subjects at A-Level and currently study at Durham University.
