English Tutor who speaks conversational Chinese and basic Spanish

Hi! I’m Casey, a friendly and patient native English speaker from the UK. I enjoy helping students build confidence in English and making lessons engaging, practical and tailored to their individual needs.

I can support students with grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, speaking, pronunciation and listening, as well as school and exam preparation. Lessons can also focus on academic and professional English, including essay writing, presentations, interviews and everyday communication.

I understand what it’s like to learn and use multiple languages myself. I speak Chinese with my family, although I sometimes supplement it with English, and I studied Spanish through GCSE, achieving an A*. I’m currently living and studying in Spain, so I’m continuing to develop my Spanish too. These experiences have helped me understand the challenges of learning another language and the importance of patience, clear explanations and practising without being afraid of making mistakes.

I’m currently completing a Master’s degree in Global Entertainment & Music Business at Berklee College of Music, having previously studied Economics & Management. I therefore have strong experience with academic writing, presentations and communicating complex ideas clearly.

My aim is to create a relaxed and supportive environment where you can ask questions, practise freely and gradually become a more confident English speaker and writer.
