I have often observed how my teachers behaved in class and how they taught, comparing different approaches and selecting the ones I liked best. Then I try them out informally when revising with classmates.
I noticed that students in mathematics often struggle with conceptual transitions and organising their working steps, so I would place particular emphasis on clear, "differentiated" explanation, e.g. if one feels hard to memorize a equation, I can then transfer the equation to geometry questions, i.e. visualization, so that pictures make more sense to people.
