While learning with me, I will emphasize on a deep understanding of the theory - coupled with practice in the form of exercises. Just knowing the method to solve a given problem, what some may call the "brute force" approach, won't cut it. Learning why things work the way they do is paramount to knowing how to tackle the problem, and also makes the whole thing - whether it's math or physics - less scary and more fun to approach! The first lesson we'll use to go over your needs, identify what subjects require more attention and what are your goals for the work we do together. On a typical lesson, I will ask you to explain the theory of the matter we're discussing. It is the best way to identify the gaps in our knowledge. Don't worry about whether you get it right or not, there are no grades here, no marked assessments. We are just figuring out where we stand and what is left to learn. Next, we will go over the gaps we previously identified, aiming to strengthen your theoretical understanding. Once no questions remain, we will switch to practical exercises that go over the topics we covered. Starting with basic/foundational problems and trying to work our way towards more difficult tasks.
