I have a native level of English Language and have a Upper Second Class Honours Bachelors Degree in English Literature

I have recently graduated from The University of Greenwich with a Upper Second Class Honours Bachelors Degree in English Literature. Whilst I am new to the tutoring industry, I have several years of experience working with children of all ages at event workshops and throughly enjoyed connecting with families and children on a creative and more educational level. I was a keen student at school myself, and was constantly helping out with younger pupils in other classes during my free periods, as I loved helping other people learn! My passion for English developed throughout my time at school and led to me specialising in LGBTQIA+ Literature at Degree Level.

I would like to encourage my tutees to become passionate about literature beyond the traditional educational environment as I feel this is the best way to support and inspire young people as they become more interested within educational texts. I think that supporting a students own passions is also essential as it allows a connection between student and teacher but also encourages them to use this passion in order to help aid their academic success!

My favourite novel is 'The Catcher in the Rye' as I love travelling and this novel not only takes you to the amazing city of New York but also takes you back in time! My favourite children's book would be The Very Hungry Caterpillar as I remember it fondly from my own childhood!
