Whilst I am new to the industry, I am a young and very enthusiastic individual looking to bring positivity to any learning environment with the hopes of inspiring my students to find their own passions in English Literature. I have worked with children of all ages for several years during events and workshops run by my community, which I found to great fun and very engaging!
A typical lesson with me would begin by stating the aims of lesson in order to maintain key and easily understandable objectives that would create the greatest opportunity for student success. I would also outline the tasks we would be completing during the lesson, so both I and the student know what is next and what we have completed, a strict structure is important as it allows for the maximisation of work. Once these key aims would be outlined, the lesson would offer a range of different tasks based upon the key aims of lesson, some collaborative and some individual work with direct feedback for students, as I feel that a plethora of activates allows the student to not only keep up high levels of concentration but engages different areas of the mind to improve creativity, such as tasks that are more auditory or creative tasks that allow students to explore their own levels of creativity. Once all tasks have been completed to a high standard for the time frame, a closing task such as discussing what the student has learnt or what they feel they need more help on would be discussed between and students, focusing on what key aims of the lesson have been met etc.
I feel the above outline is the best possible way for students to learn, as it makes learning fun but also concentrates on what work needs to be completed and what my expectations are as a tutor.
