GCSE Maths Tutor – Clear, Patient Lessons to Build Confidence and Improve Grades

I’m a Maths tutor with a strong academic background in Mathematics and Computer Science, and I focus on making difficult topics feel clear, logical and manageable.

My lessons are aimed primarily at GCSE students of all abilities, whether you’re struggling with certain topics, aiming for a higher grade, preparing for upcoming exams or simply want to become more confident with Maths.

I explain each topic step by step using straightforward examples before moving on to practice questions. Rather than simply showing you the answer, I’ll help you understand why a method works so that you can apply it confidently to different types of questions.

Lessons can cover topics including algebra, fractions, percentages, ratios, geometry, probability, statistics, graphs, equations and problem-solving. We can also work through homework, past papers and exam-style questions together.

I adapt lessons to each student, so if there is a particular area you find difficult, we can spend more time on it and approach it in different ways until it makes sense. I’ll also help you improve your exam technique, recognise common question types and understand where marks are awarded.

My lessons are relaxed and supportive, and I encourage students to ask questions whenever they are unsure. There is no pressure to understand something immediately – we can slow down, try another explanation and practise as much as needed.

My goal is to help you become more independent and confident in Maths, strengthen your problem-solving skills and go into your exams feeling properly prepared.
